WREN – Pointer-Lab Mix / 1 Year / 15 kg / F-Spayed

You know that saying, “good things come in small packages”? It completely applies to Wren: she is a small (only about 33lbs), spunky ball of love.

Wren’s favourite thing in the world is her humans and will happily greet people with some gentle kisses. During the day, you can find Wren sleeping in the coziest spot by your side, or playing with her favourite ball or stuffy (squeaky ones are so fun). She likes to quietly look out the window and watch the birds and squirrels pass by and her favourite game is fetch.
Wren is food motivated and super smart. She catches onto cues quickly and is easily re-directed when doing something she shouldn’t. So far, she has learned her name, sit, down, come, up, crate and outside. She sleeps soundly in her crate overnight and car rides are a breeze for Wren!

Wren is a curious, yet cautious girl when discovering new environments, we love to see it! She enjoys her walk time and enthusiastically may pull a bit, but she is quickly learning not to. Wren loves to play with her foster brother and tends to follow his lead – so a dog pal in her future home will be best. Wren has passed her cat test and has mastered her housetraining. We haven’t been able to kid test her yet, but we think she would love some kiddos around as long as they are older/dog savvy kids (she likes to jump up to give her kisses).

In her future home, Wren will want to be in a house with a secured yard and would benefit from having a dog pal in the home to show her the ropes and have a friend to romp with. This girl has a lot of love to give, so a family home most of the time and willing to take her on adventures would be ideal. Foster mom says “whoever ends up with Wren will be so lucky: she’s going to be someone’s heart dog!”
